Obama had my grudging support until he turned "centrist" upon defeating Hillary. At that point, I felt that he had betrayed my trust for the last time. What were some of the other betrayals? Supporting that incompetent Condi Rice for SecState, for one and voting against amending the bankruptcy "reform" bill for another.

Too often, Obama says one thing and then does another. We have had enough of that after eight years of Bush/Cheney. Add up these points, and some others, and there was no way I could vote for the man. I didn't vote for Madman McCain and Moosolini Barbie either, so who did I vote for?

I researched everyone, and found most too wanting. With a great distaste and a held nose, I ended up writing in Ron Paul - only because he was the only candidate running who I felt had a (slim) chance to win, he had opposed the terror wars from the beginning, and advocated a more responsible control of government spending. I was willing to tote his past racist baggage in spite of itself, as I figured that running the nation would block those foul tendencies.

So here we are with Obama, and he has repeatedly disappointed my hopes since his inaugural. Unless something dramatically changes between now and 2012, it looks like I will again be searching in the dark corrals for a horse I can back. It really is up to him, and Yes, He Can win me back if he starts doing the right things instead of merely offering lip service.
